When decisions happen

The city's budget process starts each February with a Council workshop. Public hearings happen in spring. The Council is expected to adopt the final budget around June 2. The Council can also approve budget changes partway through the year, if needed. The city's website does not state its fiscal year start date.

How to reach it

Call the city's Public Information line for general questions. You can also email budget comments straight to the city. We looked for an online tool to comment on Council agenda items. We did not find one. The Council takes public comment in person. This happens during a 'Citizens to be Heard' period at its meetings.
